I’m sure we’ve all experienced it, you walk up to the counter of your favorite store to pay for your purchases and the check-out person is distracted, annoyed or rude. It could have been a nice experience but you leave wondering if you’ll ever come back.
I don’t know about you, but I NEVER want my clients to feel that way when interacting with my business. Nobody is perfect and everyone has a bad day now and again, but I don’t ever want to forget that because my clients allow me to serve them, I get to eat, live in my home, drive my car, etc.
If you are the business owner or in sales in your firm, you realize this “customer-allows-me-to-eat-connection”, but not all positions in a company have the benefit of this daily affirmation of the vendor/customer relationship.
I came across this cartoon today and thought I’d share it with you. First, it’s funny and cute but second, it’s a tool that you can use as a reminder for yourself or to share at your next staff meeting. Enjoy!
